Janika's story

This is baby Janika; she is a portrait sculpt. Her mom wanted a full body baby of Janika. I initially told her no because I wasn't sure if I wanted to commit to making a full body sculpt in soft silicone, however I did agree to do the portrait with a cloth body. Before completing the baby, I began receiving emails from collectors asking if I would be making babies with a full body in soft silicone and as Janika's mom had asked me to do Janika as a full body baby, I decided to do the full body portrait baby for her.

The baby you will see in the video is a little boy. I made the boy first because my preference is for boy babies and I will be keeping this first baby for myself, as it is the first full body silicone baby I ever made, Janika is a little girl. Janika is available as a baby boy or a baby girl.

Janika was quickly sold out, the collectors who inquired about the doll were the first to be offered a chance to adopt Janika. She is 18" with her legs a little bent and she weighs 6lbs 14oz. She easily takes a regular newborn size pacifier, she has gums and a tongue.

Her mom requested no joints for her Janika, however the collectors can chose the option of her having a jointed neck making it possible for her head to turn to the side.

Janika is a full body soft silicone baby. She is newborn size. Babies like Janika take much longer to make than regular silicone cloth body babies, so I made her a Limited Edition of 12 dolls.
